In a significant move to enhance job seekers’ rights, the South Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor has announced that starting January 19, 2026, it will publicly disclose the list of employers with wage theft violations through its ‘Employment 24’ open API. This initiative allows job portals to check if a company has a history of wage theft by simply entering its business registration number, thereby empowering job seekers to make informed decisions during their job search.
